This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary to become part of a collaborative Sydney based team, supporting lawyers and Partners across a busy litigation practice. Working closely with a respected litigation team, you will play a key role in ensuring matters progress efficiently while delivering exceptional service to clients. You will benefit from direct access to senior legal professionals who are committed to mentoring and supporting your professional growth.

The Role

• Prepare legal documents, correspondence and court materials
• Coordinate briefs to Counsel and manage matter related documentation
• Support lawyers across trade credit and insolvency matters
• Manage court deadlines, diaries and critical key dates
• Prepare and process billing and financial administration tasks
• Open, maintain and close files in accordance with firm procedures
• Manage incoming calls, correspondence and stakeholder enquiries
• Maintain accurate electronic filing systems and matter records
• Provide administrative and practice support to lawyers and the wider team

About You

• Experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary or in a similar legal support role
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively to deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Proactive, responsive and team focused approach
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently when required
• Previous experience within a legal or professional services environment will be highly regarded
• Exposure to billing processes, legal practice management systems and litigation matters will be advantageous
