The Role
Depending on experience and practice area, successful candidates will work across a broad range of contentious and advisory matters involving insurers, corporates, professionals, contractors and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage and progress a diverse caseload within Construction, Professional Indemnity or Financial Lines
  • Advise clients on complex disputes, liability issues, coverage matters and risk management strategies
  • Draft high quality legal correspondence, pleadings, submissions and advice
  • Conduct negotiations, mediations and settlement discussions
  • Liaise directly with clients, counsel, experts and key stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Support business development initiatives and contribute to team growth
  • Mentor junior lawyers where appropriate to seniority level
The Candidate
Applications are encouraged from lawyers with a minimum of 3 years PQE through to Special Counsel level.
About You
  • At least 3 years PQE within Construction, Professional Indemnity, Financial Lines or a closely related practice area
  • Strong technical legal skills and attention to detail
  • Experience managing files with increasing levels of autonomy
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially focused approach to client service
  • Strong organisational and time management capabilities
  • A collaborative and proactive mindset
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for clients
