The Role
Reporting to experienced leaders within the Health & Life Sciences team, the successful candidate will work closely with major Australian and international healthcare and life sciences clients across a broad range of litigation and advisory matters.
- Managing a diverse file load efficiently and autonomously
- Advising on healthcare product and medical malpractice claims
- Assisting with class actions and mass tort litigation matters
- Handling complex and reputation sensitive disputes
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Working on regulatory investigations and disciplinary proceedings
- Assisting with coronial inquests and commissions of inquiry
- Collaborating with highly experienced specialist practitioners to achieve outstanding client outcomes
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a motivated and commercially minded lawyer who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team and is committed to delivering high quality legal services.
- Proven experience in litigation and insurance law
- Exposure to healthcare, life sciences, medical negligence or related practice areas
- Strong technical legal skills and the ability to manage complex matters
- Exceptional communication and client relationship management abilities
- A collaborative and team focused approach
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A genuine interest in building a long term career within a specialist practice area
