Step into a high-impact role managing the Accounts Payable function for an NSW Government department. You’ll run the entire department, own policy, governance, and process, and have the backbone to hold the business accountable when procedures aren’t followed. This 3–6 month contract starts ASAP and offers excellent flexibility, a hybrid way of working: 2 days in the office, 3 from home per week.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will:
- Manage a standalone AP function end-to-end, including high-dollar pay runs, expenses, and policy enforcement.
- Drive governance and compliance, ensuring POs are correct, ABNs are valid, and processes are followed without compromise.
- Lead independently while collaborating with a tight-knit, supportive finance team.
To succeed in this role:
You will be an AP Manager or a senior AP Specialist with strong end-to-end AP experience in a commercial or government setting. NSW Government experience isn’t essential - this is a great opportunity to gain it. You’ll need strength of character, ownership of the AP function, and the ability to start immediately in this high-profile role.
