Host (Mark): (Time stamp: 00:10:47.920) Hi Mark, good afternoon. Thank you for having me on.

Guest (Kira): (Time stamp: 00:10:49.760) Great to see you. Now, I just love those dulcet Irish tones. And I know that you're, is it Done?

Host (Mark): (Time stamp: 00:10:55.600) Yes, it is. I'm pronouncing that with a very broad Australian accent, aren't I? (Laughs)

Guest (Kira): (Time stamp: 00:11:04.959) Thank you. So, I still can't do it properly.

Host (Mark): (Time stamp: 00:11:07.200) Thanks for joining us today. Is this your first P2P Live, by the way?

Guest (Kira): (Time stamp: 00:11:12.240) It is. Wow, there you go. All right. Well, and it's a good one. It's a good one because you've got some great tips on getting that new opportunity in 2022. So what tips have you got for everybody?

Host (Mark): (Time stamp: 00:11:19.279) Yeah, so I think I have three kind of main tips. First, reviewing and reflecting over the past 12 months is really important for everyone to do at the moment. Like, what did I achieve? What did I want to achieve? Am I supported in my current organization, and things like that? And candidates kind of have opportunities coming to them left, right, and center. So, I think figuring out really what we want and what candidates want is really important moving forward.

Host (Mark): (Time stamp: 00:11:38.000) Secondly, research is so important. Look into the organization, the structure, who you'll be working with, what does a commute look like, do you work from home, things like that. I think that's extremely important too and will set you up for success. When you know those things, you'll go in having the information you need.

Host (Mark): (Time stamp: 00:12:00.240) And then, I guess just finally, planning and preparing. Giving yourself some time between jobs. Not always ideal to finish on a Friday and start on a Monday, so take some time to kind of refresh. And yeah, you'll be off to a better start.

Host (Mark): (Time stamp: 00:12:19.120) Great, fantastic. And you know, it is so important to take the time to understand what is it that you really want. So, you might be in a situation right, I've had two years, I'm ready for a change. And to take some time and write it down. I know it was one of the most important questions, which very few people could answer in depth, which was, you know, what's important to you? People find it very difficult. So, taking the time before you enter the marketplace to understand that will really help you in your decision-making, I think. Great, all right, so um, well, thank you. There's a lot there. I know that, um, oh look, Terry on, I think Terry on YouTube, is this great things, great tips. Thanks, Kira. We've got Maddie on LinkedIn who says, great advice. Thanks, Kira. Well, that's nice. That's fantastic, actually. I think you know Maddie, don't you? So, that's an inside job. That's an inside job. Yeah, fantastic. All right, I think you've got some great tips there. Thanks for joining us, Kira, and hopefully, we'll see you again soon.
