SHANNON: Absolutely, Emma. Preparing for effective salary reviews involves gathering essential data, considering market benchmarks, and incorporating employee feedback. Transparency and communication are key, scheduling one-on-one meetings, discussing goals, and providing clear explanations and decisions.

EMMA: True, Shannon. Open communication is crucial. Also, set clear expectations for the future, discussing goals, development plans, and growth opportunities for the upcoming year.

SHANNON: Those are excellent tips, Emma. It's not just about businesses; employees can benefit too. And speaking of salaries, our poll shows that almost 63% of respondents feel confident enough to ask for a pay rise.

About our speaker

Emma joined people2people in February 2023 coming on board our Adelaide team as a Recruitment Consultant. Before joining our South Australia office at P2P, Emma worked in customer service-facing roles across the United Kingdom eventually moving to Australia and entering the Real Estate industry. After working as Sales Manager across several real estate firms in Australia, Emma decided that she wanted to move into the Recruitment industry. Emma has been able to transfer her skills and experience of working with and managing people over to the recruitment industry and hit the ground running in her new career.
