If you have experience in supporting lawyers who specialise personal injury or workcover claims from either a plaintiff or defendant firm I would like to hear from you!
This role requires an experienced Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary who has skills in file and diary management, drafting briefs and preparing court documents. To be successful you will have excellent communication skills, an ability to prioritise and organise your work load plus previous experience in supporting more than one fee earner.
Working as a crucial member of a busy workcover firm you can expect to take ownership and responsibility of workcover files. You will support three fee earners who has a steady flow of litigated work. Your day to day tasks will include:
- Managing the progress of files
- Drafting legal correspondence
- Preparing briefs and court documents
- Billing and invoicing
- Liaising with stakeholders including insurance firms and medical providers
- Photocopying, scanning and processing mail
