This global corporation is an instantly recognisable brand and a market leader in their sector. They are currently on the lookout for an experienced Transport Manager to join them in their South Eastern DC in Melbourne.
THE ROLE
The primary role of the Transport Manager is to support the company bulk, route and regional delivery contractors in meeting the delivery requirements of their customers in a safe and efficient manner. This role is responsible for the management of performance cost, whilst fulfilling and meeting all contractual obligations of transport contractors. You will also be responsible for a range of KPIs.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful for this role you will have proven experience as a Transport Manager ideally within FMCG. In addition to this you will be driven, adaptable and progressive, and enjoy leading and mentoring teams and enjoy relationship building across the board.
You will have experience in managing a large number of third-party transportation suppliers and have an understanding and expertise in the fields of transportation operations, third-party logistics management, transportation management software and/or transportation control tower functions.
Finally, you will have negotiation and influencing skills, have the ability to communicate and build relationships effectively, have experience leading and motivating a high-performance team, and financial budget planning, analysis, and reporting skills.
