The Role
This position is an interesting role with an emphasis on trade counter sales and customer service. The successful candidate will ideally have worked in a trade and/or the hardware industry, however, this is not essential. Typically, your day will consist of serving customers 'face to face” and your duties would include:

Please note a 4 week training period will be conducted in Thomastown so the successful candidate must be able to commute for this time.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday with a rare Saturday in Thomastown. Salary of up to $70,000k package is on offer.

Trade Counter Sales

Melbourne’s leading supplier of installation and finishing products to the timber flooring industry, with everything from tools, machinery, flooring, adhesives, primers, and stains to sandpaper now seek an experienced Trade Counter sales/retail assistant to help with the everyday running of the branch.
The Role
This position is an interesting role with an emphasis on trade counter sales and customer service. The successful candidate will ideally have worked in a trade and/or the hardware industry, however, this is not essential. Typically, your day will consist of serving customers 'face to face” and your duties would include:
- Sales focused customer service, both over the trade counter and phone;
- Developing relationships and identifying customer needs;
- Picking & packing of orders including courier and transport;
- Receipting and storage of goods in accordance with appropriate procedures;
- Housekeeping and upkeep of the showroom;
- Ensure that all cash sales, invoices, purchase orders, and transfers are entered into the system in an accurate & timely manner; and
- Receive phone sales enquiries and follow up with quotes and product enquiries etc.
To be successful in this position you will have proven and committed sales experience and be prepared to exceed customer expectations. In addition to this you will also:
- Possess outstanding customer service skills;
- Be well presented, have a good phone manner, and possess good communication skills;
- You must be able to work with minimal supervision and have an eye for detail and the capacity to meet deadlines and follow tasks to completion; and
- You must perform at your peak under pressure and be able to make quick and correct decisions when needed.
- An immediate start is envisaged for this role, with the branch based in the inner eastern suburbs.
