This is a busy and varied role in a National firm. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting basic correspondence
  • Liaising with clients via telephone and email
  • Diary management
  • Preparing monthly client reports and accounts
  • Assisting HR on the recruitment of new staff
  • Coordinating annual processes: performance reviews and practising certificate renewals
  • Managing support staff workflow and overseeing arrangements for appropriate cover
  • Overseeing leave and time requests
  • Ad hoc administration duties and managing support staff workflow
  • Developing & improving group specific induction guidelines for new starters

This is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career as a team coordinator/ personal assistant to a general insurance group within an award winning law firm. You will be expected to provide administrative and secretarial support to 4 operators and increase the productivity of the group through knowledge sharing, managing the coordination of workflow and continual improvement of the services provided by the support staff.


To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 3+ years litigation secretarial experience in a law firm
  • Experience training, mentoring and managing people
  • Experience reviewing and coordinating work flows
  • An ability to streamline processes and work as a team to implement improvements
  • A proven track record of being a key team player with strong leadership skills
  • Advanced MS office technical abilities
  • A proven consultative approach with excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to resolve conflict
  • A confident, polished and enthusiastic approach to work
