World-renowned business consulting and advisory firm are seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to join their team. This leading firm aims to help assist their clients to capitalise on new opportunities and assess and manage risk to deliver responsible growth. Their high-performing, multidisciplinary teams help them fulfill regulatory requirements, keep investors informed, and meet stakeholder needs.
Due to continued growth, this firm is looking for a Risk & Compliance Manager to join the Risk Management team. This is a non-client facing role and is offered on a permanent, full-time basis.
The purpose of the Risk Management (RM) function is to protect and build their brand, increase client confidence, and enhance the success of their partners and staff.
Together with the RM Team, you will provide coordinated advice and assistance on compliance and risk management issues to help meet its regulatory and policy obligations whilst supporting the business in delivering quality service to their clients.
The role is a flexible role where responsibilities will change from time to time and may include management of or support on the following:
Modern Slavery including responding to regular client due diligence questionnaires regarding services they provide, continual monitoring of compliance with Modern Slavery
Program and connecting with local and global stakeholders to improve compliance
Professional Memberships including overseeing the Firm’s compliance of professional memberships for Partners and employees, managing the Firm’s participation in limitation of liability schemes
Point of contact and subject matter expert for selected firm policies
Supporting the wider RM team on a variety of risk and compliance issues and topics
Building relationships with teams and colleagues through networking and consultations and championing Risk Management
Deliver assigned projects with agreed outcomes; meet project milestones; provide timely update
To be successful for this role you will have proven experience in a Risk & Compliance position.
In addition to this, you will be an independent, self-starter with strong customer service. You will thrive in a busy environment and enjoy variety and appreciate that each day may be quite different than you planned, as this is the nature of this diverse role.
Skills and attributes for success:
Tertiary qualifications in a related field desired but not essential
Knowledge of Risk Management and compliance management principles
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Demonstrated experience in managing relationships with senior stakeholders
Sound business acumen and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Strong executive presence, confidence, and credibility
