Our client is a leading Australian law firm with offices in Australia's major cities. Their broad expertise ranges across Commercial Litigation, Property Law, Intellectual Property, Insurance, Tax, and more. THE ROLE:
They are currently looking for an experienced Paralegal to join their Melbourne Property & Development team. The team's focus lies with transactions in significant property assets including due diligence, commercial leasing, and various land use agreements, acquisition, structuring, planning, construction, and sale of โoff the planโ developments for commercial and residential developments.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Liaising with clients, banks, and the solicitors/conveyancers acting for the other party;
Conducting property searches;
Preparing contracts and Section 32 Vendor's Statements;
Attending Settlements; and
Calculating settlement figures and arranging cheques.
ABOUT YOU:
To be successful in this role you will ideally have experience as a paralegal in a property practice and have a good understanding of the regulatory issues relating to off the plan contracts and foreign investment. You will also have:
Strong organisational and file management skills;
Experience with time entry and electronic billing;
An eye for detail, strong service orientation and enthusiastic approach to your work;
The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team;
Advanced skills in Word, Outlook and Excel; and
Proficiency using FileSite or similar document management system.
