The opportunity

This legal secretarial role will work across a busy maritime and trade practice group. You can expect to provide support to a Senior Partner, Special Counsel and four Associates. You will be involved in a variety of duties including document production and administration litigated matters. Your duties will be varied and you can expect to be involved in the following tasks:

    • Preparing and amending documents
    • Opening matters and client accounts
    • Monthly billing administration
    • Maintaining electronic and paper filing systems
    • Diary management for internal and external meetings
    • Administration of business development activities
    • Arranging flights and travel
    • Assisting with internal and external events
    • General administrative duties and assisting others when required

To be successful

You must have:

    • A minimum of 4 years experience as a litigation legal secretary
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010
    • Typing speed of 65WPM with a high accuracy
    • A professional and confident communication style
    • Possess a friendly and personable attitude
    • The ability to liaise with clients and senior fee earners
    • The ability to take initiative
    • Be able to multi-task
    • The confidence to act autonomously
