people2people are pleased to be partnering exclusively with this leading mid-tier audit and professional advisory firm as they look for their next Internal Audit Manager. This is a newly created role to support their growing team. This is a rare opportunity to report directly to the Partner who prides herself on providing ongoing support, mentorship and development as well as opportunites for fast tracked progression.
The Role
The Internal Audit Manager will be responsible for leading internal audits from planning to completion. You will build strong relationships with our clients and provide leadership, guidance and assistance to your junior team members. Responsibilities include:
Manage, support and coach junior team members. Review their work to ensure correct auditing standards are applied.
Run client meetings, plan and execute fully internal audit projects.
Draft reports and co-ordinate the delivery of the internal audit plan.
Input into business development activities including prepare and review internal audit quotes, tenders and contracts.
Assist with planning internal audit engagements by identifying risks to determine the internal audit strategy, agreeing the timetable and schedule.
Evaluate clientsโ key compliance, safety, risk and integrity frameworks as part of the internal audit delivery or in support of other governance and risk projects.
Prepare constructive and practical recommendations to improve processes, controls and reduce risk.
Conduct research to invest in your currency of knowledge of methodology, client sectors and their business as well as legislative obligations
The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for the role of Internal Audit Manager, will you need to demonstrate the following:
CA/CPA qualified
Confidence and experience to run the internal audit projects, including close out meetings and tabling at governance committees
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Srong problem solving and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
The ability to manage stakeholders and develop strong client relationships
