This is a busy and varied role that would suit an experienced Legal Secretary who enjoys variety and change in their working week. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Victorian legal processes and a proven ability in a variation of practice groups including litigation and property.
To be successful in this role you will have solid experience in legal administration support, a fast and accurate typing speed of 60+wpm, a client service focus and an ability to adapt and change to ensure conflicting deadlines are met. In addition you will be confident with an ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and fee earners.
You will be working across a variation practice groups providing support and administration assistance to multiple fee earners. You will be providing cover and support to secretaries who are on leave, ensuring no two days are the same. Your duties will include:
- Preparing correspondence, briefs and court documents
- Preparing briefs and court documents
- Transcribing documents
- Dictaphone typing
- File management
- Liaising with corporate clients in relation to their matters
- Diary and email management
