The Company:

This rapidly growing business in the health and wellbeing space are in the midst of restructuring and repositioning their business so they are poised to capitalise on an expanding market. With an ever health conscious Australian public, they are seeking a Financial Controller who can bring finance out of the back office and into a forward thinking, business partnering role.

About the Role:

Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for a broad range of tasks including monthly reporting, statutory accounting and compliance related work, annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting. In this role, you will also be directly supervising a small team (8-10) of qualified and part qualified accountants, in addition to the transactional shared services teams (payables, receivables and payroll). Finance is a centralised function with a 'customer focus' on their branch network. A Financial Controller with a high level of communication and interpersonal skills is required, and someone who can instil these qualities in the team.

Ideal Background:

CA / CPA Qualified
Previous work experience in Health or Retail (a large multisite environment)
Someone hands on - prepared to get involved in month end reconciliations and reporting
Management Experience - having managed between 5-10 staff directly ideally
A high level of organisational skills to ensure all deadlines are met
Strong technical competence to ensure the integrity of financial results
Commitment to fostering growth through driving an adaptive and nimble finance function
