The opportunity

This legal secretarial role will work across a busy employment practice group. You can expect to provide PA support to two Employment Lawyers and a team of Workplace Relations Consultants. You will be involved in a variety of duties including preparing employment contracts and document production for other litigated matters. Your duties will be varied and you can expect to be involved in the following tasks:

  • Preparing briefs to Counsel
  • Liaising with clients and Barristers
  • Drafting billing letters
  • Dictaphone typing
  • Diary management
  • Email management
  • Client Liaison
  • Creating invoices
  • General administrative duties

To be successful

In order to be considered for this position, candidates must be able to demonstrative a variety of experience and characteristics that will suit the firm and the role. These include:

  • A minimum of 3 year previous legal secretarial experience across employment or litigation
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Professional and confident communication
  • Friendly and personable attitude
  • The ability to liaise with clients and solicitors across all levels
  • The ability to take initiative
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Familiarity with diary and email management
  • The confidence to act autonomously
