about the role

This role will see you overseeing a multitude of projects, from small to large. Reporting to Operations Director, this role will see you responsible for:

  • Facilitate creation of design documentation such as Control Philosophy, Functional Design Specification, Cause & Effect Charts
  • Provide or facilitate creation of design drawings such as single line diagrams, general arrangement drawings and schematics for tender and manufacture
  • Administration of information, drawing files and revisions
  • Programming of control systems such as PLC's and SCADA
  • Testing and commissioning of generators, control systems and other plant compressors
  • Technical and commercial support for sales staff
  • Ensuring overall compliance
  • Ensure project HAZOPs, HAZID's, safety management studies and operability studies are conducted in accordance with Regulatory requirements
  • Participate in customer meetings
  • Responsible for ensuring works are delivered on time and to budget
  • Equipment failure and root cause analysis

about you

To be successful in this role you will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A Tertiary Electrical Engineering qualification
  • Customer focused with the passion to improve Customer relationships
  • Hazardous Area equipment design certification
  • Knowledge of generators, generator controls and protection on HV and MV systems
  • Skilled in PLC Programming of mainstream PLC systems such as Allen Bradley, HV Protection Systems
  • Skilled in design and programming of HMI interfaces and SCADA
  • High computer literacy and working knowledge of computer network systems
  • Good working knowledge of AS3000/AS3110 and other Australian Standards relevant to electrical engineering and controls
  • Excellent attitude towards safety and a demonstrated ability to comply with the safety requirements
  • Capability and flexibility to handle multiple projects in restricted time frames
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external clients on a technical and interpersonal level
