This local government organisation is looking for an experienced Health Safety and Wellbeing Coordinator to join their OHS team.
This role will be initially working from home with requirements to travel to Frankston when needed.
Day to day you will be responsible for
Effectively managing OHS, WorkCover and Return to Work functions
Provide strategic OHS advice
Support team with effective reporting of unsafe and unhealthy work practices
Oversee management of WorkCover claims
Develop review and update OH&S policies and procedures
Conduct accident investigations and prepare reports and recommendations
Other OHS and wellbeing related tasks and projects
To be successful in this position you will have
Relevant OHS qualifications
Experience in government or public sector would be desirable
Detailed knowledge of the OH&S Act, WIRC Act, and Accident Compensation Act
Knowledge of WorkCover claims management and return to work process
Current driver licence and car
