We are currently interested in receiving expressions of interest from payroll candidates with experience in either end to end or high volume processing environments.
As a Payroll Officer you may be responsible for:
- Processing of new starters, terminations and redundancies
- Data entry and coding of timesheets
- Processing of the payroll on a weekly, fortnightly, bi-monthly or monthly basis
- Processing superannuation payments, payroll tax and PAYG
- Payroll reconciliations
- Assist with month end reporting
- GL posting and reconciliations
- Award and EBA interpretation
- Responding to payroll queries
Candidates will be considered with experience in a variety of industries including education, health, professional services and legal. Ideally you will be a proficient user of Chris21, Preceda, Meridian, SAP, ADP or Payglobal, however candidates with experience using other systems will also be considered. I would also be interested in speaking to candidates with experience using a time and attendance or rostering system such as Kronos, Time Target, Riteq, RosterOn or Rosterlive. Demonstrated knowledge of payroll tax, salary packaging, superannuation and PAYG may be required depending on the opportunity. You will have strong attention to detail and analytical skills and have demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines. Effective award and EBA interpretation is essential. As assignments will be temporary in nature, candidates will need to be immediately available or available at short notice.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in a variety of industries and will be rewarded with competitive hourly rates. Assignments will vary in duration and location.
