Australian Cricketers' Association (ACA) Internship Program

The Australian Cricketers' Association (ACA), in partnership with Cricket Australia and State organisations nationally, is offering nine ten-week paid sport administration internships for ACA members looking to develop their careers. The internships have been made possible through funds donated by the current players and through partnerships with state associations and BBL / WBBL clubs. The Program is a terrific example of how current players are funding initiatives to benefit fellow members and strengthen the game.

In its fourth year, the 2018 program offers a wide variety of diverse opportunities. ACA have engaged long-term careers partner Infront Sports Consulting (via people2people) to manage the application process. For the 2018 Program, Cricket Australia is offering the following opportunity:

Cricket Australia: Business Operations

Working across the Media, Communications & Marketing and Business & Advisory Services departments, you will gain exposure to key operational areas that support fan experience. You will work largely with the Media, Communications and Marketing teams to understand what it takes to manage the brand of cricket. You will have the opportunity to proactively source and identify stories and then assist with the production and delivery of content. As part of the internship you will gain an understanding of Cricket Australia's risk management frameworks. This is an excellent opportunity to develop both your media and business skills.

The ACA Internship Program is open to ACA Members - male and female, current and former players.

Applications close Friday 30th March 2018 at 11.59pm.

All applications will require your current Curriculum Vitae and a cover letter detailing your interest in the program and your availability.

Interviews will be conducted mostly in April, with flexibly around applicant schedules. Placements can be completed in-season or off-season commencing anytime from May 2018 onwards. Full time, or part time arrangements can be accommodated, as can many overseas and local commitments.
