Australian Cricketers' Association (ACA) Internship Program

The Australian Cricketers' Association (ACA), in partnership with Cricket Australia and State organisations nationally, is offering nine ten-week paid sport administration internships for ACA members looking to develop their careers. The internships have been made possible through funds donated by the current players and through partnerships with state associations and BBL / WBBL clubs. The Program is a terrific example of how current players are funding initiatives to benefit fellow members and strengthen the game.

In its fourth year, the 2018 program offers a wide variety of diverse opportunities. ACA have engaged long-term careers partner Infront Sports Consulting (via people2people) to manage the application process. For the 2018 Program, Cricket Australia is offering the following opportunity:

Cricket ACT/Cricket NSW: Development Officer/School Officer (ACT)

Working under the supervision of Development Managers and reporting to the Development Leader - ACT & Southern NSW, you will be employed as a Development Officer, working with local schools and clubs to deliver successful programs to increase junior participation. Your duties will include coordinating and delivering cricket sessions within schools, project management of carnival days, maintaining databases, and running information sessions. You will also provide support in the coordination of game day events and national carnivals. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your game development and sport administration skills.

The ACA Internship Program is open to ACA Members - male and female, current and former players.

All applications will require your current Curriculum Vitae and a cover letter detailing your interest in the program and your availability.

Interviews will be conducted mostly in April, with flexibly around applicant schedules. Placements can be completed in-season or off-season commencing anytime from May 2018 onwards. Full time, or part time arrangements can be accommodated, as can many overseas and local commitments.
