Since the KidsCan story began fifteen years ago, they have excelled at bringing creative, passionate and dedicated people together to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged Kiwi kids. Today the organisation partners with 787 schools and 25 early childhood centers to ensure young learners start their day fed, dry and warm and ready to engage. With one in four children in New Zealand living without the basics, there is still much to be done to help our kids reach their full potential in life. And you can help make that happen.

We're looking for a hands-on, energetic and broadly experienced marketing and communications star who can take this brand and communication strategy and make magic happen. We need a doer. Someone who can inspire their team to greatness while underpinning the work of other busy teams in a collaborative and strategic fashion. You'll be the one who can quickly identify the objective and harness the skills of those around you to deliver a creative solution that delivers impact. This will involve owning agency relationships, maintaining brand standards, supporting campaign activity and driving content development to raise brand awareness. Securing positive media coverage for KidsCan will be a key component of the role, so you'll need to be confident pitching stories and building collaborative relationships with journalists.

An exceptional communicator and experienced people leader, you'll be familiar with juggling the demands of multiple stakeholders and keeping a team on track to meet and exceed expectations. Your successful track record working with the media and running campaigns will be backed by solid social media and digital experience while exposure to fundraising and the NFP space would be an advantage. Resilient, results focused and willing to roll up your sleeves to make a difference, your passion for brand and love of your craft will be contagious.
