Authentic leadership is a word bandied about a lot today. It's about being genuine, leading with your heart, being focused on the mission and results and ultimately - just being you.

An authentic leader is a rare commodity. Rarer still is having an authentic connection to the organisation you work for - which is why we know you're going to get goosebumps about this role.

Sweet Louise, the only charity of its kind in New Zealand, is focused on improving the quality of life of hundreds of women and men living with incurable breast cancer. It is national, established, growing and with a respected brand and media presence. Named for the amazingly positive woman whose breast cancer journey inspired its establishment 14 years ago, today Sweet Louise is making a difference in the lives of over 725 members and their families.

Providing comfort, joy, hope and practical and emotional support is what Sweet Louise is all about. Member feedback on the difference Sweet Louise makes is humbling and inspiring. And sadly, their member numbers are growing which is why choosing their next CEO is so critical.

We're looking for an experienced, non-for-profit leader with an authentic connection to our cause. A capable, emotionally resilient and empathetic manager who can inspire and effectively harness the dedication and passion of a small, autonomous, high-performing team to ensure we maintain and evolve our model of care and support into the future.

Leveraging your proven fundraising experience and commercial acumen, you'll provide mentoring and 'hands-on' support to a fresh, already impressive fundraising team while nurturing relationships to keep us abreast of fundraising and best practice innovations. As the face of Sweet Louise in the media, you'll also drive awareness of our cause while maintaining and enhancing relationships with key stakeholders. Here your transparency, candor and accountability will foster constructive partnerships, particularly with a high-calibre team of trustees.

Whether you're a CEO or an impressive 2IC looking to step up, this role offers genuine career development, mentoring from an extraordinary Board, and a level of job satisfaction that 'can't be beat'. The nifty Ponsonby location, competitive salary, performance bonus and five weeks holiday are further sweeteners.

If you're the positive, authentic self-starter to lead Sweet Louise on the next phase of their life-changing journey, apply online to Annie O'Keefe today.
