The Role

The purpose of the Purchasing Officer position is to provide support to the supply chain team with all purchasing activities including liaising with suppliers, material planning, managing supplier agreements including logistics. It is critical to ensure material is available to fulfil planned production and sales orders.

Key responsibilities and duties
·       Work closely with the production team and ensure material available for production
·       Manage inventory levels and stock is on hand and available
·       Ensure purchasing spend is in line with company budgets and expectations
·       Work closely with the compliance team to manage quality processes
·       Deliver cost and working capital efficiencies through optimising buying decisions
·       Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the purchasing systems and processes and implement new strategies.

Who are you?

Previous experience and or qualifications in purchasing, procurement or supply chain would be highly regarded. You must have intermediate to advanced computer software skills including Microsoft excel, and ability to learn new systems and technology. Proven time management skills and the ability to address conflicting priorities with a flexible and adaptable approach. You will be working very closely with a small team and must have strong collaboration, verbal and written communication skills.
