Communications Manager

People2people are working closely with the NSW Government who are seeking a Communications Manager for an initial 3 month assignment located in Parramatta.

THE ROLE

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of the department's overall communication strategy, including managing the communication activities on behalf of internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Create and execute communication plans, presentations, reports and campaigns to internal and external stakeholders ensuring the operating model of the branch is supported
  • Support the development and use of the people management practices, technology, systems and customer experience methods
  • Deliver efficient and effective services in accordance with the Department policy, practices and protocols
  • Develop and implement the shared services system enabling regular data capture, evaluation and reporting the success of the operations and strategies
ABOUT YOU

To be eligible for this role you must have:
  • Demonstrated experience in a communications based position with previous exposure in the Government sector
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or proven experience in public relations, marketing, communications and media management is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal to allow consistent and thorough communication throughout the branch
  • Proven skills in managing communication strategies including stakeholder engagement plans for diverse and high volume organisations
