Our client

Our client is a not-for-profit aged care facility. They are looking for Facility Manager who is open to working an 8-month contract with the possibility to extend. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar position working within the aged care sector.

The role

To lead and manage the activities and services provided at site. This includes the following key responsibilities:
  • Manage the direction of the residential care facilities to improve performance where required
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of policies, procedures, controls, systems and people management approaches necessary to provide seamless Residential Care services
  • Ensure that individual care plans are developed in consultation with residents and significant others and that care us delivered in accordance with the care plan
  • Ensure that residential facilities meet and exceeds regulatory requirements
  • Act as a role model for other staff both in terms o f the care standard and residents' rights
  • Provide information to prospective residents/clients and their families in order that they make the most appropriate care choices given their financial circumstances and refer to the contact centre
  • Formulate and ensure achievement of residential facilities operational budgets
  • Ensure performance against budgets is monitored and linked to the delivery of monthly residential reports
  • Manage the logistics of each residential service ensuring that customer satisfaction is achieved within budget
  • Practice the according to Occupational Health and Safety guidelines
  • Provide effective leadership and management to all staff members

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in management or health care including but not limited to nursing
  • Previous experience in a similar position within the aged care sector
  • Previous experience at Management level with business acumen and effective human resource management skills
