people2people are working closely with the NSW Government who are seeking a Communications Officer for an initial 4 month assignment located in Sydney CBD. 


In this role, you will be managing the web and social media presence and implementing digital marketing activities and initiatives.  
  • Provide marketing communication support and database management support on behalf of the branch
  • Maintain the Department's website using Drupal, including updating, coordinating and monitoring of social media platforms
  • Manage all-rounder communications both with internal and/or external stakeholders including, writing and updating website content, newsletters and general communications experience
  • Report on the outcomes of communications and/or stakeholder projects researching where required in support of future projects and campaigns 


To be eligible for this role you must have:
  • Demonstrated experience email marketing campaign and Drupal Content management within the public sector is highly advantageous
  • Proven skills in managing communication strategies including stakeholder engagement plans for diverse and high volume organisations
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or proven experience in public relations, marketing, communications and media management is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal to allow consistent and thorough communication throughout the branch
