We are recruiting on behalf of an industry-leading global law firm with offices across five continents, who have been recently recognised as a "Global Legal Powerhouse'
With four major offices across Australia, their Melbourne office is the largest in the Asia Pacific region located in the heart of the CBD.
Due to the current Legal Assistant retiring, this industry-leading law firm is seeking an outgoing and proactive Legal Assistant to join them in a true 1:1 position, supporting a Partner within their real estate team.
This partner specialises in joint-venture and development structuring for major projects. There are some large projects arising where there will be the opportunity to take on more Paralegal duties.
Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Diary management
- High level administrative and secretarial support to Partner
- Managing confidential Firm information and opening new matters
- Administrative duties relating to conveyancing files and property settlements
- Input and maintain client data into client relationship software
- Handling high profile client queries
- Managing the monthly billing process
The successful Legal Assistant must have proven legal support experience in a reputable law firm and be familiar with billing. Exposure within real estate is advantageous, but not essential.
Due to this firm being open to what area of law you may have specialised in previously, it's important for you to have a can-do attitude and be willing to learn on the job.
The team within the real estate practice is outgoing and sociable so someone who is confident and personable will get on well.

This is a true 1:1 position supporting the Partner within an outgoing and social team, who regularly spend time with each other outside of work.
Due to large projects arising in the practice, there will be an opportunity to expand on your experience and take on Paralegal responsibilities.
A salary of up to $80,000 package is on offer plus benefits including, discounted health-insurance, 14 weeks paid parental leave regardless of gender, flexible working arrangements and plenty more.
