people2people are working closely with the NSW Government who are seeking a Communications Officer for an initial 6 month assignment located in Sydney CBD. 


In this role, you will be managing the web and social media presence and implementing digital marketing activities and initiatives.   
  • Maintain the Department's website using Drupal, including updating, coordinating and monitoring  social media platforms
  • Coordinate and manage email marketing campaigns
  • Provide marketing communication support and database management support
  • Manage ticket through JIRA system and address issues with website
  • Report on web and social media analytics, creating and presenting metrics and evaluation reports


To be eligible for this role you must have:
  • Tertiary qualifications and proven experience in public relations, marketing, communications and media environment is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience email marketing campaign and Drupal Content management within the public sector would be advantageous
  • Proven ability to prioritise and manage internal and external requests using previous approval processes
  • Strong knowledge surrounding marketing initiatives and digital communications on a variety of social media platforms
