After some changes within the internal structure and some system implementation, they are now looking to add a senior payroll officer to work on a standalone basis within their finance team. 

The role

Starting as soon as possible (there will be a handover), this is a permanent opportunity in which you will work in an autonomous role as a standalone Senior Payroll Officer and manage the end to end process for around 500 employees across Australia and New Zealand. Your main responsibilities will be as follows:
  • Run 2 fortnight payrolls (alternate weeks) on Chris 21
  • Set up new starters and manage terminations
  • Interpret several relevant EBAs and awards
  • Payroll tax and superannuation
  • Be the main contact point for payroll queries
  • Month-end and year-end reporting 
  • other ad-hoc projects

The ideal candidate

In order to be sucessfull in this position, you will need to demonstrate the following attributes:
  • Experience working as a standalone payroll officer position
  • End to end payroll experience
  • Ideally Chris 21 experience, other well known payroll systems will be considered as well 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An autonomous and proactive personality
