This government body act similarly to a mid-tier law firm in providing responsive legal advice and strategic guidance. They pride themselves on being at the centre of legal change, reform and problem-solving.

This Legal Assistant will be supporting up to four fee earners in one of their busy and fast paced departments.

Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
  • Managing calendars of Solicitors
  • Monitoring emails
  • Maintaining up to date legal files and filing
  • Proof reading documents
  • Dictaphone
  • Drafting correspondence and court documents
  • Preparing basic reports
  • Performing court searches and conducting legal research
  • Liaising with clients
  • Assisting with preparation of marketing activities

The successful candidate will have proven support experience up to seniority within a professional services environment (within the legal industry is advantageous).

The level of experience you have is not the deciding factor in your success in this role as training and support will be provided to you initially and throughout. What is important is your attitude and presentation; it's imperative that you have a positive, can do attitude and you're resilient.

It's also important that you're able to demonstrate examples of prioritising effectively, have a high attention to detail and are confident in managing several members.

This Legal Assistant opportunity will allow you to be autonomous in liaising with clients, involvement in marketing activities and a wide range of administrative duties supporting several Solicitors.

Up to $80,000 package on offer plus excellent benefits, including flexible working arrangements.
