THE ROLE
As the Senior Human Resource Business Partner, you will support the Head of People Services with advice to internal clients on the project working cross-functionally across the People Culture & Safety (PCS) team. and will be based both within the People, Culture & Safety team, and the Project team.
You will be responsible for providing timely advice, support and expertise to operational People Leaders and project personnel alike, it is imperative you are adept at working within the guidelines of two groups concurrently and seek guidance around appropriate priorities. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide up to date accurate employee data to ensure employee numbers align with project and budget requirements;
- Review and update Business Area Work Force Planning’s (WFP); ensure data is accurate, send reports within timelines;
- Ensure effective project plans are established, and provide regular reporting, tracking and visibility of progress;
- Under the guidance of the Head of People Services, drive a heightened awareness of employee relations matters and industry trends relating to best practice employee relations practices across the project in accordance with the company's values and policies;
- Provide expertise and support to Education Business Area Leaders in relation to Teacher Work plans; and
- Be first point of and key contact for Project regarding internal employee concerns, complaints of unfair treatment, harassment, discrimination, workplace violence or hostile work environment.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience working within the education sector or within government. Additionally, you will have relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, psychology, Industrial Relations, or Law and substantive experience in the HR field.
Crucial to your success will be your demonstrable recent experience and capability in providing HR advice, support and services to varied clients in a complex environment. You will also have a strong knowledge of relevant employment legislation and industrial documents, including Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
