THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity awaits a talented and experienced Paralegal to a high performing Partner's practice. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting all aspects of the practice, ensuring the highest possible standards are maintained. Working under the supervision of a well respected practitioner, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Completion of various tasks related to claims and matters, working autonomously when required within the team framework.
  • Assisting with the management and development of precedents.
  • Collaborating with the Partner and other solicitors to achieve favorable outcomes for prospective clients and clients of the firm.
  • Liaise with hospitals, doctors, medical and other health professionals.
  • Prepare and draft correspondence, forms and documents including all PIC applications, under both the NSW third party and workers compensation legislation, and prepare matters generally including workers compensation, work injury damages, third party claims, and civil liability matters.
  • Take statements and consider evidence.
  • Dictation using voice recognition software.
  • Booking meetings and appointments.
  • Many more paralegal duties.
THE CANDIDATE
We are seeking a dedicated individual who possesses the following qualities and qualifications:
  • Full-time availability for work.
  • Studiers in the early stages of their law degree may be considered.
  • Essential experience in personal injury law, preferably in workers compensation or motor vehicle accident cases.
  • Proficiency in working with the PIC portal and drafting statements.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced and busy team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
