THE ROLE
The firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Legal Assistant to join its Litigation team. As a key member of the team, you will provide vital administrative support to the busy Disputes & Litigation practice. Your role will involve working closely with the legal professionals and contributing to the efficient functioning of the practice. This position offers a diverse range of responsibilities and an opportunity to work with highly experienced litigators, including:

  • Assisting with executive tasks for Senior Fee-Earners, including travel bookings, minute-taking, diary management, and account reconciliation.
  • Managing the opening and closing of matters, conducting conflict searches.
  • Supporting court document preparation, online filing, and drafting.
  • Handling time entries, processing third-party invoices, and assisting with monthly billing and reporting.
  • Preparing various legal documents, such as letters, contracts, and general correspondence.
  • Performing general administrative duties, including document management.
THE CANDIDATE
To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and attributes:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in litigation as a secretary
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise effectively
  • Familiarity with legal practice management and billing systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail, and written / verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work autonomously when required
  • Strong work ethic and a positive, engaging demeanour
