Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role
In this role, you’ll be out in the business partnering with leaders and teams, understanding how work gets done, and helping to make it safer. As a Health & Safety Advisor, you’ll provide practical, down-to-earth guidance across incident management, investigations, and risk management. You’ll take the lead on more complex investigations, support teams to identify and manage risks, and help turn insights into meaningful action. No two days will look the same, you’ll have the autonomy to manage your work, the support of an experienced team, and the opportunity to influence safety outcomes across a complex operational environment.
Ngā kawenga | Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support incident investigations, including more complex or high-risk events
- Provide practical, easy-to-action health and safety advice to leaders and teams
- Support hazard identification, risk assessments, and implementation of effective controls
- Analyse trends and insights, translating these into clear, practical recommendations
- Partner with leaders to embed and track corrective actions
- Contribute to projects and initiatives that strengthen health and safety performance
- Deliver training and build awareness across the organisation
- Encourage strong engagement through committees and stakeholder relationships

- Salary of $80,000 – $100,000 (experience dependant)

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills & Experience
- A qualification in Health & Safety, or currently working towards one
- Exposure to health and safety practices, risk management, investigations, or related project work - you could have worked directly in Health and Safety or where H&S was part of your role
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
- Confidence analysing information and providing practical recommendations
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- A collaborative and proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement
