Our Client
A leading mining and resource sector business require the assistance of a highly experienced Financial Accountant to assist with month end responsibilities and Audit preparation. You will be joining a high performing and cohesive team. The role is based in the South Brisbane head office and is to commence as soon as possible fora three-month temp assignment.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the responsibilities of the role will include,
- Month end processing (journals, accruals, prepayments)
- GL and Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with Statutory compliance
- Management reporting and analysis
- Raising purchase orders
- Ad hoc support to the Finance Manager
The successful applicant will have/be,
- CA or CPA qualified or studying towards
- Experience in a similar role within a medium to large business
- Experienced in Mining Industry advantageous but not essential
- Ability to hit the ground running and pick up new processes
- Pronto or large ERP system experience
- Professional and positive team focused attitude with strong verbal and written communication
