People2people have been engaged to recruit for a leading supply chain company that has over 76,000 employees worldwide. Our client is seeking a Customer Service Supervisor to manage a strong mid-size team.
Role
The role is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months with an ASAP start. As the Customer Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a logistics team. Your role will include the following responsibilities but will not be limited to-
- Direct, monitor and manage the activities of Team Leaders and Reps in the management functions to extend individual skills and achieve overall objectives.
- Provide operational and administrative support and assistance to the Customer Service Manager and Operational team in relation to orders, deliveries, and transport/freight and site administration.
- Liaise and channel communications effectively between operations and customers.
- Provide reporting to internal and external clients inclusive of KPI and billing information.
- Provide adequate support and coaching for direct reports and give regular feedback on performance amongst direct reports
About You
- Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
- Experience in the 3PL / Logistics industry
- Highly experienced in building and maintaining Customer Relationships - Equivalent combination of Education and experience.
- Knowledge of transport requirements and warehouse management system skills
- Leadership skills to be able to manage the team by example and to develop the team
