Pump It Louder

Emma Wragg • July 22, 2019

You might be on the way to work as you read this, or on the way home, perhaps even on the way to that gym session you really aren’t looking forward to. As I got off the bus this morning to walk to the office, I popped my headphones in and cranked some beats. It made me think about how much of a difference music can make to your mood.

Music for me can be a way of pumping up for the day or for a certain activity, or it can help me to chill out. I certainly listen to a wide variety of music genres which have different effects on me and my mood. Now don’t judge me but here are some of my favourites.

Music to get me ready for the day:

  • Black Eyed Peas

  • You’re the Voice- John Farnham

  • Taylor Swift

Music to chill out to:

  • Sam Smith

  • Boyce Avenue

This article may be short and sweet but if you are having a bad day - find those headphones stashed at the bottom of your handbag or laptop bag and let the music work its wonders.

If you have any suggestions of music to chill out to, or even better to pump up the day, I’d love to hear them. Let me know your favourite tunes in the comments below.
