2017 Has Started Where 2016 Left Off

Sam Palmer • January 25, 2017

Strap yourself in and hold on! 2017 has taken off like a rocket! I have been recruiting temporary and contract legal support roles in the Sydney market since 2011 and I would have to say, January 2017, has been the busiest January I have seen during my time in the Sydney market. Usually, January is a moderately quiet month, as the courts are closed and the Partners of the legal firms take their extended annual holidays to take advantage of the slow-down in their businesses. However, at the time of writing, legal secretaries who are experienced in insurance matters are in high demand and as a result, there is an extreme shortage of available legal talent. I have been briefed on numerous vacancies, not only in the temporary market, but also the permanent market.

As has been the trend, temporary recruitment with a view to the person being recruited on a permanent basis, is still very popular. So if you have been toying with the idea of making a change in 2017, please give me a call and we’ll meet up for a coffee. My shout!
