MEET THE 2022 OZ TOP DOG WITH A JOB WINNER

"Bodhi definitely deserves the title of top dog with a job! Bodhi began his therapy dog training at 6 months old (Therapy Animals Australia), and he began working at Bonbeach Primary School at 8 months old - just after the first Victorian Covid wave. Bodhi has the most beautiful, gentle and patient personality, and he loves being around people who are both young and old. He takes the noisy environment of a primary school in his stride with tail wags and kisses. Bodhi has become invaluable in assisting our most anxious students by putting smiles on their faces every day. He helps students achieve success by lying with them while they try their best with difficult tasks, teaching small group dog obedience and social skills during lunch clubs, and making everyone laugh when he checks their work or completes his tricks. He visits different classrooms during the day, and will often be found snoring with his head on a student’s lap or legs. He thinks he is a 43kg lap dog! Bodhi has become a trusted and popular staff member who welcomes, calms and entertains everybody at Bonbeach Primary School. He joins in all whole school activities, including cross country, colour fun run, Easter parade, Footy parade and Book week dress up. Bodhi also visits the local kinder to teach dog safety. His favourite job is to visit the office staff and principal every morning for his cuddles and treats."
